Presidents Report:
Both SHMRRC

for the Greenberg Train Show. Setup
for the show is on Friday, August 2nd
between 2:00 and 7:00. We will work
with Div 2 on a combined layout.
Show hours are Saturday and Sunday
from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Tear down
will be Sunday at 4:00 but anyone
who is coming to help should arrive
at 3:00 pm.
David Damp informed the members that
he experienced traffic delays on the
Parkway East due to construction.
Any member who will attend the
Greenberg Show should consult his
GPS before starting the drive.
Members who are available for setup,
show times, or tear down are invited
to help. Use the loading dock doors
on the side of the building for free
access.
Information about the Mt. Lebanon
Winter Market and Holiday Celebration
has not been received at this time.
Based on the last two years the show
will most likely be in early December.
We have been contacted by the Science
Center for Locomotion Weekend on January
11th and 12th
2025. We will discuss this further at
future meetings.
The Carnegie Library show will be
scheduled after discussion at a future
meeting. At this point we have agreed to
March or April and the exact date will
be set after we make a decision.
Treasurers Report:
The total in
the treasury is $5,862.25 with
$5,152.25 in checking and $710.00
cash on hand.
Program:
Dave Bodnar
brought in examples of items he
printed with his new 3D Printer.
Dave emailed a link to the type of
printer after the last meeting. He
reported that the items printed were
very smooth and the printing was
fast and quiet.
He also
passed around some magnetic wire
connectors that were easy to use and
very secure.
Rich Aubel presented an introduction
to scratch building. The topics
covered were scratch building versus
kits, materials available, tools
needed, and places to get ideas for
structures. He passed around a
number of buildings and a bridge
that he had built.
