SHMRRC Minutes for the Monthly Meeting

The meeting was held at Mt. Lebanon United Lutheran Church, President Jeff Graybill presiding.

Presidents Report:

The applications for the Greenberg Show in Monroeville on August 5^th and 6^th have been submitted by SHMRRC and NMRA Div 2. There has been no confirmation of acceptance for either application at this time. Information should be available before the June meeting and will be discussed at that time.

Additional possibilities for shows are still being pursued at the Carnegie Library but there may be an issue with the library hours. Further contact with the staff there needs to be done.

A few other options may be investigated including Castle Shannon and the Heidelberg Fire Hall for their Fall Fest.

Treasurers Report:

The total of funds in the treasury is $5,417.25 which includes $5,092.25 in checking and $325.00 cash on hand. The treasurer received a notice from PNC Bank that the ATM problem was resolved and all of the club’s money has been credited.

Program:

Warren distributed the shirts that were ordered at the May meeting. There are a few issues with the embroidery on some of the shirts and some question about shirts that were ordered. Any member with an issue can contact Warren through the club email.

The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum is holding an “Anything With Wheels” show this weekend, June 3^rd and 4^th. The Garden Railroad Club will be setting up a display at the show so members are invited to attend.

Topics for discussion at future meetings were solicited and the following were suggested: Ballasting, Lubrication for HO gauge, Couplers and Wheel Sets. These topics will be addressed at future meetings.

Dave Tepe is looking for a member to adopt his module. Any member who wants to build a module can get a head start by using Dave’s and adding anything he wants. Contact Dave Tepe through the club email list.

The next SHMRRC meeting will be at the Mt. Lebanon United Lutheran Church at 7:00 pm on June 27, 2023.
