SHMRRC Minutes for the Monthly Meeting

The meeting was held at Mt. Lebanon United Lutheran Church, President Jeff Graybill presiding.

Presidents Report:
The next show is the Mt. Lebanon Uptown Market and Holiday Celebration on Saturday, December 6th from 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm.  Setup will be on Friday, December 5th between 12:00 noon and 8:00 pm.   An alternative setup can be done at 10:00 am on Saturday if anyone can’t attend on Friday. Teardown will occur at 5:00 pm on Saturday.  All members, whether they have modules or not, are invited to help with setup and teardown. 

The next Greenberg show is scheduled for January 3rd and 4th of 2026.  The SHMRRC will not apply to display and we have no information whether NMRA Div 2 plans to attend. 

We will be at the Kamin Science Center for Locomotion Weekend on January 17th and 18th of 2026.  Setup will be on Friday, January 16th starting at 9:00 am.  SHMRRC members should enter the building at the Security entrance behind the building and use the elevator just beyond the cafeteria to the third floor.  The show will be from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on both days with teardown starting at 4:00 pm Sunday. 

We received an email from Nick Yackovich of the newly founded Carnegie Modular Railroaders reporting on their progress and listing several topics that they may want our help during initial discussions.  A reply will be sent confirming our willingness to help provide guidance with the topics and asking that they notify us when they plan to discuss the topics.  There were also suggestions that Nick attend Locomotion Weekend to gain information from the O Scale participants. 


 
Treasurers Report:
Total available funds are $5,904.11 with $510.00 cash on hand and $5,394.11 in checking. 

 
Program:
Dave Bodnar demonstrated an LED that operates on ac or dc voltage and can be purchased through Amazon.  Dave will send an email to the members with information. 
Due to the proximity of Christmas to the regularly scheduled meeting day the December meeting will be moved to January 6, 2026. 

 
Next Meeting:
The next SHMRRC meeting will be at the Mt. Lebanon United Lutheran Church at 7:00 pm on January 6, 2026.
