Program:
Rich Aubel presented a program on casting detail pieces.  He passed around the two part mold making liquid and described how to make a mold.  He also passed around the two part casting resin that is used with the molds to create the parts and also numerous examples of pieces already cast.  He observed at the end of the presentation that he felt casting was significantly replaced by 3D printing.

Dave Bodnar began his electronics presentations with an introduction to LED’s and how they work.  He passed around different sizes of LED bulbs and explained the method to light them.  He also covered the use of resistors in conjunction with LED’s to adjust the voltage that goes to the bulb.  Dave will have future presentations over the next few meetings.
